  You were my guardian angel
You were my song
You were my miracle
You were ill for so long
On the day of your funeral I watched a dove
As it flew up to visit you above
The last gift I got you meant a lot
It was a dolphin charm I had got
I listened to your favourite poem
It sounded grand
It was a lovely poem footprints in the sand
But most of all you were my mother
Best of all you were like no other.

For you Mum

Why do we waste our time
And why wont the show us a sign
When a young girl sits at home
With a knife in the palm of her hand
And as she sits and cries alone
She thinks nobody understands
She things why is it all a waste of time
As she stares at the scars on her hands
You see it’s her only way to compensate
For this ever lasting building hate
That burns inside her mind
Somebody show her a sign
When a young boy leaves his home
Nothing but his clothes and mobile phone
He thinks why should it come to this
The point where I wont be missed
So many things I have to say
But it seems as though I have no way
To express what lay inside
He just hides behind his shield of pride
And as he carries on, his life & home are gone
He’ll wind up alone now the streets are his new home
You see teen life seems like a waste of time
Somebody really needs to show all of these kids a sign
